In collaboration with Sharif Science and Technology Park and Aftabnet Communication Group, the first cooperation agreement within the advertising industry and Sharif University of Technology was established.
A collaborative agreement has been signed between Sharif University Science and Technology Park and Aftabnet Communication Group as a strategic consultant in communication and advertising matters. The signing of this agreement was attended by Dr. Behnam Talebi, head of Sharif Science & Technology Park (associated with Sharif University of Technology), and Maziyar Habibiniya, CEO of Aftabnet Communication Group. Both parties emphasized the importance of synergy between industry, advertising, and innovation.
At the meeting’s onset, Dr. Behnam Talebi commented, “Aftabnet Communication Group is a distinguished company. It’s an honor to collaborate professionally with them. Our aspirations reach beyond the agreement we’re signing today, aiming for mutual benefit and capitalizing on each other’s strengths.”
He further stated, “While we think and work diligently, it’s essential to showcase these efforts more broadly. In this, Aftabnet can assist us. Each company who work with us can become a topic of information & discussion.”
Dr. Talebi also announced plans to spotlight 30 companies from Sharif Innovation District in a compilation titled “Simorgh”, And we hope that we can continue these introductions every year because this is not a priority for many of these companies.
Concluding his speech, Dr. Talebi said: We hope to be able to witness the physical presence of the Aftab Communication Group in the innovation zone, and in this way we can have more interaction and cooperation with this group.
Maziyar Habibiniya, the CEO of Aftabnet Communication Group, shared, “One of our aspirations is forging a meaningful bond with the academic community, leveraging the expertise of academic luminaries to address industry challenges. Iran’s advertising sector lacks a robust academic foundation. However, an academic backbone is crucial for the advertising industry to assess and refine its knowledge.”
Habibiniya continued, “By uniting the renowned Sharif University with the nation’s premier advertising firm, we aim to establish an authoritative, specialized entity in advertising under Sharif University’s guidance. Concurrently, we anticipate this synergy to invigorate the national advertising industry, paving the way for innovative and refined experiences.”
The meeting culminated in the signing of the collaboration agreement between Sharif Science & Technology Park and Aftabnet Communication Group.
Since the inception of the Sharif University of Technology’s Science and Technology Park in 2015, its pivotal initiative has been the “Sharif Innovation Zone”. This program emphasizes identifying and nurturing the ecosystem around Sharif University of Technology, consequently fast-tracking the qualitative and quantitative evolution of innovative companies in the vicinity. Situated between Azadi Street and three main highways: Shahid Jennah, Sheikh Fazlullah Nouri, and Yadegar Imam, the 250-hectare Sharif Innovation Zone houses over 600 companies, 19 accelerators, 15 funds and investment companies, and 10 innovation centers.
